About mONACOPHIL
MonacoPhil is the leading show in international philately, conceived under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III, as a joint venture between the Office des Timbres of the Principality of Monaco (OETP), the Musee des Timbres et Monnaies, and the Club de Monte-Carlo, designed to bring together the biggest names in world philately.
history
The show first came into being under the supervision of Alexander D. Kroo, who in 1997, held a philatelic exhibition of "100 of the World's Rarest Stamps and Philatelic Documents". This pioneering exhibition was intended to celebrate both the 60th anniversary of the founding of the OETP, and seven centuries of the Grimaldi Dynasty in Monaco.

This inaugural exhibition was a great success, and it was decided that a more formal exhibition should be repeated every two years. Since then, MonacoPhil has provided an unrivalled venue for philatelists the world over to gather and celebrate the very best of their hobby.
Every two years, MonacoPhil has hosted the leading names in the philatelic trade, along with historic collections from such revered institutions as the Smithsonian Museum and the Royal Collection of His Majesty King Charles III. Bringing together its founding organisations, along with its partners the AIJP and FEPA, MonacoPhil has moved from strength to strength as the event for world philately.
We are proud to showcase the greatest philatelic rarities in the suitably elegant surroundings of Monte-Carlo, allowing collectors, dealers, and curators to meet in a prestigious, welcoming, non-competitive venue, open to the public.
We look forward to welcoming you to our forthcoming show on 5-7 December 2024, which will display the marvellous philatelic offerings of the Far East.
