This book is the first comprehensive record of the Queen’s Head stamps of Labuan. It discusses the background to the design of the stamps and the selection of De La Rue as the printers. It then, through the author’s examination of De La Rue’s records, in detail explains the fourteen separate printings of those stamps. Also explained are the reasons behind the surcharging of various values on a number of occasions - surcharging that was carried out in Labuan and resulted in many irregularities.

Jeremy Dickson was introduced to stamp collecting at an early age by his grandfather and great uncle, from whom he developed a life-long interest in philately. After time at Marlborough College and Cambridge he joined one of the founder firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers with his career mainly focused on international financial sector clients. Now retired, his interests include researching Labuan‘s philately.
